Marci Griffith Loeber

Managing Principal

As Managing Principal of Griffith Properties, Marci oversees all of the firm's activities. She brings 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry including principal investing and commercial real estate brokerage. 

From 1993 to 2009 Marci was an investment sales broker, most recently with Cushman & Wakefield and formerly with Fallon Hines & O'Conner/Trammel Crow Company. In the course of her 18-year career, Marci has closed over 500 investment sales transactions in excess of $25 billion. Marci was named by Real Estate Forum as one of the country's "Superstar" investment sales brokers for three consecutive years. While a Principal at TCC, Marci was ranked among the Top 3 Producers nationwide from 1998 through 2000. Marci is a member of the team recognized by the GBREB's Commercial Leasing and Investment Committee for closing "The Investment Sales Deal of the Year" in 1994 (for the $64.6 million Latham Farms power center sale in Albany, NY); 1995 (for the $163 million sale of Bay Colony Corporate Center in Waltham, MA); 1996 (for the $91 million Druker 1031 Exchange in Boston); 1999 (for the $403 million MGI New England Portfolios) and 2006 (for the $600 million Technology Square transaction).

Principal, Director of Acquisitions

31 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry including 28 years in principal / institutional investing.

From 1987 to 1989 John was a commercial office broker with Leggat McCall / Grubb & Ellis.  Over the next 23 years, John was a member of the senior management team and in leadership roles with The RMR Group which invests in and manages both publicly owned and privately held real estate.  John served from 1999 to 2011 as Executive Vice President, then President & Chief Investment Officer of it’s first publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust which owned a nationwide portfolio of office property valued at $7.2 billion.  John then relocated to Sydney Australia to establish their office portfolio in Australia in a two-year assignment.  Prior to RMR, John’s broad experience has included public accounting and finance, where his focus was audit and corporate tax services for private clients.

John is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), National Association of Office and Industrial Parks (NAIOP), Past Member of the Board of Trustees of St. Sebastian’s School where he served on both the Long Range Planning Committee and Facilities Committee and past member of the Board of Trustees of the St. Columbkille Partnership School, established with Boston College in 2006 as a new governance model for catholic education in the United States.

Peter F. Doherty

Principal, DC Region

Peter Doherty oversees investment activities for Griffith Properties in the Metropolitan Washington, DC Region.

He brings 29 years of experience and over $3.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions within Washington, DC, Mid-Atlantic and major markets throughout the U.S.  His expertise encompasses capital transactions, institutional advising, portfolio management and commercial real estate services.

Mr. Doherty began his career in 1989 with the Oliver Carr Company in Washington, DC, focusing on project finance and lease administration.  He then worked for five years (1993-1998) as a member of the investment sales team at Cassidy & Pinkard, now Cassidy Turley, overseeing all financial and marketing aspects of the firm’s equity and debt placements.

While at Lend Lease until 2002, he served in the capital transactions group and ultimately became the principal and head of the Washington, DC Region.  He managed all aspects of the company’s equity and debt placements and asset management on behalf of institutional and high net worth clients.  Similarly, Mr. Doherty was the head of the Washington, DC Region for Advantis Commercial Real Estate Services Company from 2002-2005.

Thereafter, Mr. Doherty opened the Mid-Atlantic office of KBS Realty Advisors, serving as market leader and head of the firm’s regional investment activities.  Most recently, he was head of acquisitions for PNC Realty Investors’ Eastern U.S. investment activities on behalf of the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Lake Forest College in 1988.  He also completed additional coursework at the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce and the Masters in Real Estate Program at Johns Hopkins University.


Bradford Takala

Principal, Boston Region

21 years of experience in real estate investments during which Brad has originated, structured and closed over $2.5 billion of investments across all asset classes and strategies. Brad works with Griffith Properties’ three other investment principals originating and executing on opportunities in our target markets, and assists our Managing Principal in investor relations and capital formation.

Most recently, Brad led acquisitions at Eastern Real Estate, a vertically-integrated development and investment platform. Prior to Eastern, he was Managing Director and head of acquisitions at The Davis Companies, a value-add fund manager and development company based in Boston which invests across the Eastern US. Brad also spent nine years at Invesco Real Estate where he was responsible for originating investment opportunities in the DC to Boston corridor in addition to the Chicago metropolitan area.

He began his career in commercial real estate at Cushman & Wakefield in San Francisco. Brad received an MBA in finance from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts in government from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. Brad and his wife, Lisa, live in Frisco, Texas and have three daughters. He enjoys coaching lacrosse and volunteering at the North Texas Foodbank.


Donna J. Pennino

Principal, Portfolio Manager

25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry including property management, tenant construction, building repositioning, capital projects, leasing, asset consulting and due diligence.

Donna joined Griffith Properties in 2014 and is responsible for construction management. 

Previously, Donna was employed by JMB Realty Corporation/Heitman Properties as a Senior Property manager overseeing office building portfolio in the Northeast region. She also spent time at RM Bradley & Co, Inc. as an owner’s representative.

Donna is currently a member of Real Property Administration (RPA) Designation and retains a Massachusetts Real Estate Brokers License.

Matthew H.  DalY


Responsible for managing the firm’s underwriting, due diligence, asset management, and investor reporting.

At Griffith Properties since 2006, Matt has been involved in the acquisition and management of over 3.6 million square feet with a total capitalization of over $900 million.

Prior to joining Griffith Properties, Mr. Daly was a Financial Analyst at Resolve Technology, where he was a member of the commercial real estate group.  Mr. Daly provided consulting services in asset management, acquisitions, and investment sales.

Benjamin D. Knott


Responsible for the firms financial analysis on Acquisitions and Asset Management

Prior to joining Griffith Properties in 2015, Ben received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Furman University in South Carolina. While studying, Ben gained experience through internships in the commercial real estate lending and brokerage fields.

J. Brad Griffith

Founding Principal

50 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and over 45 years of experience as a principal investor and developer in East Coast office, industrial and R&D properties

From 1979 to 2001 was Co-Founder, Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Leggat McCall Properties. There, Brad initiated and/or oversaw the majority of the investments and developments made by the company since 1978. Those investments included 70 buildings in the markets between Boston and Washington, D.C. containing 11.0 million square feet and valued at over $2.0 billion. Prior to his real estate career, Brad served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant.
